Recently, we were asked to come on the Check A Pro Radio Show to give our insights on exterior cleaning, particularly where cleaning for eaves and siding is concerned.
For most homes, the eaves and siding are very obvious parts of the property. In fact, the siding takes up the largest surface area of your home, and it’s what people see when they walk up to your front door. Your eaves are also very noticeable, and here in the South, they’re usually a white color.
Just like your other exterior surfaces, your eaves and siding are vulnerable to bacteria, moss, and lichen growth. Most of the time, you’ll see a lot of this growth occurring on the north and west sides of your home. Although you may think that pressure washing these surfaces is the best way to get rid of this buildup, we want you to steer clear of applying major pressure to clean your siding and eaves.
If you apply too much pressure during exterior cleaning, you can damage your siding and eaves and even void your manufacturer’s warranty. The better approach for exterior cleaning is to let us soft wash your siding and eaves. We’ll get rid of all that buildup, and because soft washing only uses pressure ranging from 40 to 55 psi, we won’t damage your siding and eaves in the process.
